Paul Boyd is a New York-based correspondent for Inside Edition and serves as co-anchor of Inside Edition Weekend. He's celebrating his 10th season with the award winning newsmagazine and has covered many of the biggest news stories during his time with the top rated show.
Boyd was the first journalist on the scene of the Barefoot Bandit plane crash in the Bahamas and took viewers on board the stolen boat where the young fugitive was ultimately captured during a high speed chase after two years on the run.
Boyd also broke news while covering the attempted Times Square Bombing and subsequent hunt for the terrorist. He was dispatched to cover the Fort Hood shootings, the Virginia Tech college massacre, Hurricane Katrina, the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster in Texas, the devastating crash of American Airlines Flight 587 in Queens, NY and the "9/11" attacks in New York City. And he continues to report on the economic meltdown and "Great Recession" that has impacted Americans from every corner of the country.
Boyd's international reporting includes the deadly "7/7" terror attacks in London and lengthy assignments in Iraq and Afghanistan during both wars. He has traveled to several other volatile countries in the Middle East, including Pakistan, where he gained access to the dangerous tribal region known as Waziristan and was able to document the hunt for Osama bin Laden.
Boyd traveled with President Obama during the 2008 presidential campaign and with President Bush during the 2004 election. He also provided political coverage from both the Republican and Democratic National Conventions in 2008 and 2004.
