Critics Unload on 'Tacky' and 'Trashy' Painting of Trump With Other Republican Presidents

The bizarre piece has been compared to the painting of dogs playing poker.

President Trump’s contentious "60 Minutes" interview has drawn its fair share of attention, especially for a strange painting that hangs in the White House.

Citizen sleuths noticed the strange piece of art in a clip from "60 Minutes Overtime."

The painting, spotted behind Trump and correspondent Leslie Stahl, shows the commander in chief surrounded by previous Republican presidents, including Ronald Reagan, Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, George W. Bush and even Abraham Lincoln.

Online critics are calling the piece "tacky" and "trashy."

“All the president needs now is a velvet Elvis,” one remark read.

It has also been compared with the famous "Dogs Playing Poker" painting.

The artist behind the painting, Andy Thomas, told Inside Edition that he received a personal phone call from Trump, requesting his own.

Trump was "very complimentary," Thomas said.
