Jon Bon Jovi received an honorary doctrine from Rutgers and debuted a new song to the graduating class.
Jon Bon Jovi was the honored commencement speaker for the class of 2015 graduation from Rutgers University in New Jersey on Thursday.

He told the crowd, “Life is a long, bumpy road that makes for an exciting ride. Choose a direction and if the road turns, turn. If there is a fork in the road, take it. It is okay to map out your future, but do it in pencil.”

The Jersey born rocker even debuted a new song he wrote just for the occasion. His lyrics imparted advice to the graduating class and encouraged students to start their own revolution.
Bon Jovi was honored for his charitable work with an honorary doctorate in letters for his foundation work which tackles, hunger, homelessness and poverty. He sure had a creative way to end his speech!
