TV personality Guiliana Rancic revealed that she’s been diagnosed with breast cancer. INSIDE EDITION has details on how she’s doing.
"It was like incredible instant sobbing, and it was like the world just crashed down around me," said Giuliana Rancic.
It's a shocking announcement from TV personality Giuliana Rancic, who revealed on the Today show that she has breast cancer.
"I mean, 36 years old, no family history. I mean, I just couldn't believe it," said Giuliana
Giuliana says she learned of her diagnosis during her third round of fertility treatments.
"This doctor, the only doctor, who's ever said this to me, said, 'You need a mammogram.' And I said, 'Why? I'm 36 years old. Why would I need a mammogram? I'm too young.' He said, 'Because, if you get pregnant it canl accelerate the cancer,'" said Giuliana.
Giuliana and her husband Bill, winner of The Apprentice season one, have been chronicling their attempt to have a baby on their reality TV show Giuliana and Bill.
A teary-eyed Bill looked on as Giuliana opened up to the Today show's Ann Curry.
Giuliana, who has served as an Oscar® fashion expert for INSIDE EDITION, will undergo surgery this week to remove the tumor, followed by six weeks of radiation. But, Giuliana and Bill will try again for a baby.
"I'm not going to give up, you know I want that baby. And what's amazing is that that baby will have saved my life. Because had I gotten pregnant, a few years down the line I could be a lot sicker," said Giuliana.
