INSIDE EDITION talks to Gary Busey and Ted Haggard about their starring turn in the new season of Celebrity Wife Swap.
How would you like to be married to one of these two guys?
Actor Gary Busey, renowned for his bizarre behavior, and disgraced evangelist Ted Haggard, involved in a 2006 sex scandal with a male prostitute, star together on Tuesday night's premiere of ABC's Celebrity Wife Swap.
INSIDE EDITION's Megan Alexander spoke to Busey and Haggard.
"You two seem like polar opposites," said Alexander.
Haggard asked Busey, "Why do people keep saying that?"
"That's because they don't know what they're talking about," replied Busey.
Busey moves in with Haggard's wife, Gayle, while Haggard moves in with Busey's financee, Stephanie.
Alexander said, "Ted, I understand you turned the show down twice. What changed your mind?"
"Well, of course we had concerns that we just didn't want the old stuff from five years ago rehashed over and over and over again," said Haggard.
And how's this for a celebrity swap? In this case, TV personality Carnie Wilson and former Growing Pains star Tracey Gold traded husbands. The sneak preview aired Monday night.
Turns out Gold's a total neat-freak and Wilson's a serial belcher.
But the Busey-Haggard wife swap is even more bizarre when they argue their political differences. Haggard told Alexander he's pulling for Newt Gingrich in the Iowa caucuses.
Haggard told Alexander, "He's been through these difficult things in his life and because of it, he's come out a strong, trustworthy man, I think."
And you'll never guess who Gary Busey says he's voting for.
"I'm voting for Dr. Suess," said Busey.
