INSIDE EDITION talks exclusively with Tracy Morgan's mother who says her TV star son won't help her avoid foreclosure on her home.
Shocking words from the mother of comedian Tracy Morgan. She claims the 30 Rock star has turned his back on her in her hour of need.
Tracy's mom, Alicia Warden wiped away tears as she told INSIDE EDITION she's about to lose her home in Youngstown, Ohio.
"He would rather see me homeless in the street than to help his own mother," said Warden. "I'm in dire straits right now. I need help. I'm not ashamed to ask my son for it."
Tracy's mom showed INSIDE EDITION around the house. There was a leak in a bedroom ceiling that she can't afford to fix and metal bars on the front door because it's a high crime neighborhood surrounded by boarded up houses.
She recently lost her job and can't pay the mortgage. A few weeks ago she called her celebrity son for help.
Warden told INSIDE EDITION, "I said, 'Tracy, I have a foreclosure with my mortgage. Can you help?' He said, 'I'll call you right back.' "
But the call back came from one of Morgan's assistants, with this offer:
" 'Tracy said he'd give you $2,000 on a one-shot deal. And I said, 'What? You tell Tracy thanks, but no thanks. I'm his mother. I'm not someone in the street.' And those were the last words I said," explained Warden.
She said the last time she saw Tracy was when she appeared on Saturday Night Live with Tracy in 2001 for Mother's Day.
"I don't know what I did to Tracy. I don't know," said Warden.
According to Forbes magazine, Tracy's net worth is $18 million. In a statement he told INSIDE EDITION: "For reasons that are between us, I have not seen my mother in 11 years. We all have personal family issues that we have to deal with in life, but I choose to deal with mine in private and not through the media."
In an INSIDE EDITION online poll asking: Should Tracy Morgan help his mother financially? 68% said "Yes, while 32% said, "No."
His mother told INSIDE EDITION that despite her shocking allegations, she still loves her son.
Referring to Tracy, Warden said, "You [have] got to tell me what I did to you for you to hate me the way you do."
