Nicollette Sheridan's lawsuit against Desperate Housewives has come to a closing arguments and INSIDE EDITION has all of the details.
Nicollette Sheridan was mobbed by photographers as she arrived for closing arguments in her bitter lawsuit against Desperate Housewives.
It's now up to the jury to decide if Sheridan was wrongfully fired from the show.
Executive producer Marc Cherry was also in court Wednesday—even though he's off the hook after the judge dismissed Nicollette Sheridan's battery claim that he slapped her during a rehearsal.
"I'm a very happy man, thank you," said Cherry to reporters.
The dismissal is seen as a huge setback for Sheridan, but her lawyer Mark Baute tried to spin it in the most favorable light.
"This case is about being fired and hit for complaining at work, and the value is $5.8 million," said Baute.
The jury consists of nine women and five men, including two alternates. They've heard a case with more twists and turns than an episode of Desperate Housewives. In the courtroom, there was a big contrast, as Cherry was smiling and happy, and Sheridan looking dead serious and all-business.
Legal expert Royal Oaks told INSIDE EDITION, "The irony here is that this may be a no win for Nicollette Sheridan. Even if she wins a lot of money, she may be seen as damaged goods by Hollywood, people may not want to hire her. If she doesn't win a lot of money, then it is double-trouble, maybe no job and no recovery."
