INSIDE EDITION was on the red carpet and has the scoop from this year's MTV Movie Awards, including Parks and Recreation star Aubrey Plaza trying to steal Will Ferrell's award.
It was a bizarre moment at the MTV Movie Awards. As Will Ferrell accepted an award, actress Aubrey Plaza from the TV show Parks and Recreation ran onstage and tried to grab the trophy out of his hand.
Plaza had a drink in her hand and was barefoot. When she went back to her seat, she spilled her drink and she had the name of her new movie, The To Do List, written across her chest.
Security reportedly escorted Plaza out of the event in Los Angeles for pulling the stunt.
Meanwhile, actress Jennifer Lawrence is reportedly in hot water with MTV for being a no-show.
The website Deadline.com reports that the network was left scrambling and embarrassed by her absence because they had arranged for heavy promotion of Hunger Games: Catching Fire during the broadcast.
Lawrence won the award for "Best Kiss" for Silver Linings Playbook. Her co-star Bradley Cooper had to accept that award by himself.
We've learned that Lawrence’s absence was due to a "scheduling conflict.” She has been shooting a movie in Boston recently and was reportedly never scheduled to attend.
There was plenty of other star power on-hand.
World War Z star Brad Pitt presented the Movie of the Year award which went to The Avengers.
Jamie Foxx was also honored. He wore a t-shirt putting him squarely in the center of the emotional gun control debate. It had Trayvon Martin's picture on it, surrounded by photos of the victims of the Newtown school shooting.
He also used the moment to poke fun at his pretty 19-year-old daughter, Corinne. He said, “My beautiful, beautiful daughter, who is single. I told you, you were going to turn out to be very beautiful, but dial it down on that dress a little bit.”
A very pregnant Kim Kardashian appeared on-stage to introduce Selena Gomez, who performed in a sexy red dress.
Nine-year-old Oscar® nominee Quvenzhane Wallis was on-hand to present an award. But, sometimes the show got too raunchy for her. When comedian Seth Rogan jokingly dropped his pants, Quvenzhane's eyes were covered by her mom.
But it was that crazy episode with Aubrey Plaza that's got everyone talking.
