Modern Family’s Eric Stonestreet took to social media and is in a feud with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS. INSIDE EDITION reports.
“Don't mess with my mom,” that's the furious message Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet just sent to KISS bandmates Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley.
The feud broke out after Stonestreet's mom, Jamey, took a flight from Los Angeles to Kansas City. Simmons and Stanley were also on the plane.
Mom cheerfully texted her son: "I think Gene Simmons is on my flight. Do you think I should go give him a Kiss?"
Stonestreet replied: "Yes. With tongue. He's into that,” a joking reference to Simmons' trademark move.
What happened next is not clear, but the encounter between Stonestreet’s mom and the two rock stars somehow ended in drama.
"Gene tried to bully my mom out of her seat," Stonestreet wrote on his Instagram account. He also wrote, " ...Paul called her 'Aunt Bee,’” a none-too-flattering comparison to the matronly figure in the old Andy Griffith Show.
Well, that did it. Stonestreet erupted, telling Simmons and Stanley, "I can't wait to run into you two old-ass makeup-wearing (blanks) and tell you in person: you should have been nicer to my mom."
Simmons denied he was being rude and Stanley later tweeted: "A misunderstanding... I apologize anyway. Good son."
Stonestreet was appreciative, telling the musician, "Thank u for that. I will tape my glow-in-the-dark KISS posters back together now."
Sounds like they all decided to kiss and make up.
