Paul McCartney Stops Concert For Marriage Proposal

Paul McCartney stopped his concert when he noticed a woman holding a sign reading: “He won’t marry me until he meets you.” INSIDE EDITION has more.

Paul McCartney made a dream come true.

Over the weekend in Albany, New York, he actually stopped the concert to help a couple get engaged after noticing them holding up signs.

Paul McCartney told the audience, "She was holding up a sign that says 'He won't marry me till he meets you' and he's holding up a sign that says 'I've got the ring and I'm 64."

Claudia Rodgers told INSIDE EDITION, "He looked like he took a couple seconds to read ours and I leaned over to John and I said 'I think I have a good feeling!'"

It worked! McCartney brought Rodgers and her boyfriend John Dann on stage.

Suddenly, the 64-year-old groom-to-be took full advantage of his moment in the spotlight and launched into his own version of a Beatles classic.

Then came the big question. McCartney adjusted the microphone to bended-knee level.

"Sweetheart, will you marry me?" asked Dann.

"Yes!" said Rodgers.

The crowd went wild.

The couple met on a Match.com eight years ago. They are both teachers. Dann just retired.

"He said 'You are not going to believe I met Paul McCartney. Not only did I meet him, but I sang with him. Not only did I sing with him, but he backed me up,'" said Rodgers, describing Dann's excitement when he told his kids.

"You know you could have Paul McCartney as your wedding singer," suggested INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent.

"He did say that when we were leaving," said Rodgers. "He said 'They have me booked for their wedding.' I invited him," said Rodgers.
