Were the Beyoncé and Jay Z divorce rumors crafted by the power couple themselves to boost ticket sales? That is what Beyoncé's father seems to indicate. INSIDE EDITION explains.
Were rumors of Beyoncé and Jay Z’s marriage breaking up all one big hoax to drive up ticket sales for their concert tour? Well, the jig may be up thanks to Beyoncé's father, Matthew Knowles.
Speaking to a Houston radio show, Knowles revealed that those reports of martial discord were actually created by Beyoncé and Jay Z to play a “Jedi mind trick” on everyone.
He said, “The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot of times.” That of course is a reference to Star Wars.
The interview was conducted by radio personalities Roula Christie and Ryan Chase.
Chase told INSIDE EDITION, “He didn’t necessarily have to talk about this. He could have simply said, ‘It's between my daughter and her husband.’”

Knowles also spoke about the infamous elevator showdown between Solange and Jay Z. He claimed that too, was part of the plan to create publicity and hype sales
He said, “Everyody is talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange's albums sales went up 200 percent.”
Roula Christie says she isn't quite convinced, saying, “I still don't buy that they planned that because I was even saying with so much anger that Solange had in that video, even if for a split second you knew, 'Oh yeah, there's a camera in here' she didn’t care.”
Beyoncé and Jay Z’s "On the Run" concert tour has surpassed $100 million in ticket sales. And Jedi trick or not, their appearance at the VMAs earlier this week left no doubt that the force is still with the power couple.
