Stars Arrive in Venice for George Clooney's Wedding

It's a big weekend in Venice as stars arrive for George Clooney's wedding. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

Here they are—the happy couple arriving in Venice for the wedding of the year!

George Clooney and his beautiful bride-to-be Amal Alamuddin were arm-in-arm, cruising down the canals of the romantic Italian city for their weekend wedding extravaganza.

With them are supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, Clooney's best man.

What could be more romantic than gazing out at your gorgeous wedding venue with Hollywood's leading man by your side?

The wedding takes place on Saturday at the seven star Aman Grand Canal Hotel where rooms start at a whopping $1,600 a night.

Built in 1550, the 24-room palazzo has soaring ceilings with ornate murals on the walls. Guests have access to gorgeous gardens that surround the property.

The three day fairytale wedding is expected to cost a staggering $13 million.

Jamie Miles, editor at TheKnot.com told INSIDE EDITION, "A shocking fact about this wedding is Amal's family is paying for it, which is a very traditional concept. Especially in light of George Clooney being a pretty wealthy bachelor."

Matt Damon and his wife arrived in Venice today, as well as actress Ellen Barkin. Fashion legend Anna Wintour is there, too.

One hundred fifty A-list guests are expected, including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, Bono and Sandra Bullock.

The guests are staying at the ultra-chic Cipriani Hotel, which is totally sold out. A sumptuous rehearsal dinner will be held there on Friday.

"It's rumored that it will be a lebanese and Italian menu to reflect not only Amal's roots but also the location of the wedding," said Miles.

The bride's younger sister, Tala will be maid of honor.

Clooney will wear Giorgio Armani, and speculation is running rampant about the bride's dress.

When Amal arrived in Italy on Thursday, she was carrying a large garment box, rumored to hold a wedding dress by Alexander McQueen, the same designer Kate Middleton chose for the Royal Wedding.

"I don't necessarily foresee her wearing sleeves because she has such a beautiful physique, and she's been known to show off her shoulders. She may go with a strapless number," said Miles.

A civil ceremony will be held on Monday at Venice's town hall. Streets are closed to pedestrians and paparazzi.

A wedding spectacle fit for the world's most eligible bachelor finally tying the knot, in one of the most romantic places on Earth.
