Royal expert Andrew Morton weighs in on the new show.
Elizabeth Hurley plays the Queen of England in a glossy new TV series called The Royals on E!.
The Royal family on the show is fictional but seems to resemble the scandalous behavior of the British Royal Family.
Andrew Morton is a best selling author and Princess Diana's personal biographer. He is a former Royals corespondent for INSIDE EDITION.
INSIDE EDITION's Megan Alexander asked him, "Will you watch it?"
He replied, "Of course, yeah! Elizabeth Hurley is very watchable."
His new book, 17 Carnations, deals with a Royal scandal from long ago. It centers around King Edward VIII who famously gave up the British throne to marry American divorcee Wallis Simpson, as depicted in the Oscar winning movie, The King's Speech.
The book reveals new information about his admiration for Adolf Hitler.
Morton said, "If this had come out at the end of the war, just as the contours of the Nazi regime were being revealed to the world, people would have been absolutely horrified."
He says the U.S. government even took part in an attempted cover-up of documents exposing Edward’s Nazi links.
"There is a cover-up by Churchill. There is a cover-up by Eisenhower as well. For the first time ever, I have actually gone through the papers, tracked the down, and it is an extraordinary story," said Morton.
