The florist who chased Charleston gunman Dylann Roof before he was arrested is being hailed a hero.
In chains and prison stripes, the 21-year-old gunman accused of killing nine people in a Bible study group was flown back to Charleston to face justice.

In a disturbing cell phone video taken moments before the shooting, pastor, Rev. Clementa Pinckney could be heard leading the Bible study group, while in the corner was the gunman, Dylann Roof. The heart wrenching video was shot by one of the victims, 26-year-old Tywanza Sanders.
Roof reportedly told police he almost didn't go through with the massacre because the worshippers were so nice to him.
He allowed one woman to live so she could tell the world about what he had done. A five-year-old girl survived after her grandmother told her to play dead.
Today, one woman emerged as a hero who chased the accused killer for 25 miles until he was arrested. Florist Debbie Dills says she recognized Roof by his distinctive bowl-cut hairstyle as he drove his car outside Charlotte, North Carolina.
She told INSIDE EDITION, “I couldn't believe that it was him but it was him. When I realized who it was I was just thinking of the pictures I had seen of the people there in Charleston who were holding hands in a prayer circle and were calling out to God for an answer to their prayers.”

She called her boss, Todd Frady, who alerted police while she tailed the suspect. Today she feels she helped answer the prayers of the grieving city of Charleston.
She emotionally said, “My heart is there with those people in Charleston who have lost their families and my heart is there with them.”
Roof was captured just a few miles from his sister’s home. She is getting married this weekend.
