A doctor was caught on a recording mocking a patient who was under anesthesia.
The nasty comments from anesthesiologist Dr. Tiffany Ingham started as soon as her patient went under. In a recording, she can be heard speaking directly to the sedated man, who was undergoing a colonoscopy.

"After five minutes of talking to you in pre-op, i wanted to punch you in the face and man you up a little bit," she's heard saying.
The patient was using his smartphone to record his doctor's instructions about post-op care, but he forgot to turn it off. When he was sedated, the phone continued recording. Imagine his shock when he woke up and heard what the anesthesiologist was saying about him.
A medical assistant is heard saying, “I was putting his IV in, he's like, ‘I always pass out when I look at the IV.'"
Dr. Ingham then said, "Well why are you looking then, retard?"
Then the anesthesiologist mentioned that the patient attended the University of Mary Washington in Virginia. It used to be an all-female school. That leads the doctor to call the patient a "big wimp" and suggests he's gay.
Then, for some inexplicable reason, she said she's going to falsifying his medical records. "I'm going to mark hemorrhoids even though we don't see them and probably won't. I'm going to take a shot in the dark."

Dr. Ingham also complained about her other patients. "These people are into their medical problems. They need to have medical problems. Round and round we go, wheel of annoying patients we go. Where it'll land, nobody knows," she said.
The Reston, Virginia, case is reminding many of the controversy surrounding the death of Joan Rivers, when doctors allegedly took selfies of themselves with Rivers while the comic legend was under sedation.
Dr. Ingham seems to know how nasty she's being. "I feel bad. I shouldn't be so mean," she said.
