The Whighams, 37, gave her a box with two beaded bracelets inside, one pink, the other blue. Inside was also a charm that said, “#1 Grandma,” but it wasn’t attached to either bracelet. Since she already has grandchildren from her other daughter, the couple assumed that she would think the charm would apply to them.
“We will let you know which bracelet to attach it to when we find out which sex it is,” she told her mom. Everything came together when she realized it was a pregnancy announcement and began screaming and jumping out of her chair in excitement, barely able to get any words out.
“I’m shocked, oh my God!” she screamed.

Inside the card, along with the bracelet, was a touching poem written as if it was from the baby, “I do not have soft cheeks to kiss, I don’t yet have a name. You can’t yet hold my tiny hands, nor whisper in my ear. It’s still too soon to sing a song, or cuddle me so near.”
