Investigators are saying that a two-year-old boy accidentally shot and killed his dad with a semiautomatic pistol.
A two-year-old boy apparently shot and killed his father in what cops say is a horrible accident.
Divine Vaniah Chambliss, 31, was found shot in the head in an apartment in Hoover, Alabama on Tuesday afternoon, and no one else was inside but the toddler.
The child's mother found Chambliss dead on a bed after she returned home from work and called 911.

"I hurt my Dad,'' the boy told her, AL.com reported.
Police Captain Gregg Rector says investigators have all but ruled out suicide and other scenarios in the shooting.
"It wouldn't be a physical obstacle for a two-and-a-half-year-old boy to pull a trigger on a semiautomatic handgun," said Rector.
Investigators found no other signs of an intruder or self-inflicted wound, Rector said. Cops also say they knew there was a semiautomatic pistol in the apartment.
The boy lived with his mother and a sibling in the apartment. Their other child was at school at the time.
Chambliss would often stay at the apartment to care for his son during the day while the boy's mother was at work.
Rector said Chambliss’ death was a “horrible accident” resulting in the child getting the gun.
