National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos showed off dazzling dance moves as the 21st 'DWTS' season kicked off.
Dancing With the Stars kicked off its 21st season on Monday night, and was bigger than ever as the cast took over Hollywood Boulevard.
American hero Alek Skarlatos' dazzling moves were the surprise of the night. “You just came out and showed us one of the best dances of the night,” said one of the judges.

Skarlatos, an Army National Guardsman, along with two buddies, took down a suspected terrorist on a train in France last month. Now he's proving he's got great moves on the dance floor - his Fox Trot wowed the crowd.
“Feels good, it was a crazy experience. I'm glad we did awesome,” Skarlatos told INSIDE EDITION.
Paula Deen left everyone agape after she completed a shaky Quickstep.
"I had white underwear when I started, but probably ain't white no more,” said Deen.
Host Tom Bergeron and Deen's dance partner looked shocked by her comment. “I was nervous,” she said.

The cooking icon tried to sweeten things up by handing out flourless brownies - even feeding an INSIDE EDITION producer one.
Meanwhile, Bindi Irwin wowed, starting out in a zookeeper’s outfit, then revealing a shimmering, green dress.
The 17 year-old paid tribute to her late father Steve Irwin with an energetic Jive set to Crocodile Rock.
“We're excited to carry on my dad's legacy. I hope that tonight he would be proud of me,” said Bindi, who got the highest score of the night.
