Matt Little, a standup comic, spoke to INSIDE EDITION about running into the rodent. “After the initial shock wore off, I pulled my phone out immediately.
“We tried to give him a wide berrth, stay away once we landed on the bottom stairs,” he said.
Little said he stumbled onto “pizza rat” around 1 a.m. Monday as he was hopping a subway home from a comedy club.

The rat even came up when Donald Trump appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
“I saw that rat!” said Trump.
When Little got home, he posted the cellphone video, and 12 hours later, it was trending worldwide on Twitter under #pizzarat, with over 400 tweets per minute.
The late-night comics are finding the video as tasty as, well, a slice of pizza. Colbert quipped, “Here, if a rat doesn’t bring you a slice in 30 minutes or less, it’s free.”
