A suspected car thief brought a stolen vehicle to a police station to pick up papers that had his name on it.
A Florida man drove a stolen car to a police station to pick up court papers for an earlier auto theft, according to police.

Officers in St. Petersburg say they recovered an abandoned Infiniti on Sunday and inside they found 18-year-old Carnell Eugene Butler’s documents related to an auto theft arrest from June, The Associated Press reported.
Cops say on Tuesday, Butler stole yet another car, a Hyundai, from a home. That day, detectives were able to reach a relative of Butler’s and left a message for the teen.
Butler arranged to come to the police station and pick up items found inside the Infiniti. When Butler arrived at the station, he was placed under arrest and the keys from the stolen Hyundai were allegedly found in his pocket.

He now faces charges in the three stolen car cases, The AP reported. He was arrested for two counts of grand theft of a motor vehicle, violation of probation, and two counts of burglary of an occupied dwelling.
He is being held without bond.
