Wednesday's tragedy marked the third child to be killed in that manner in New York in as many months.
A 27-year-old Bronx mother of four was charged Thursday with her youngest child’s death after the woman threw her six-month-old daughter out a sixth-floor window, screaming about the Lord as she let the child go, police and witnesses said.
Tenisha Fearon was arrested and charged with second-degree murder after police discovered Janillah Lawrence’s little body on Tiebout Avenue near East 183rd Street in Fordham Heights about 1:50 p.m. Wednesday, cops said.
Fearon was naked as she dangled the baby six stories above the sidewalk, allegedly screaming religious statements including “Hallelujah,” “We’re all going to die!” and “Praise the Lord” out the window before she let her daughter plummet to her death, frantic 911 callers told police, the New York Daily News reported.
A witness told police Fearon yelled that the child was going to the Lord before tossing her out of the window, the police source told INSIDE EDITION.

Emergency responders rushed the baby to St. Barnabus Hospital, but she could not be saved, authorities said.
As police carted Fearon away, the woman reportedly said “the devil is in her,” Fearon’s godmother Louella Hatch told the Daily News.
Neighbors told the Daily News that Fearon first began throwing household items out the window before she brought the baby out, retreating back into the apartment after she allegedly killed her baby to lie on the floor with her three other children— a 10-year-old boy and two girls, ages eight and four— who also were not wearing clothes.
Those children were found unharmed but were taken to a hospital, a police source said.
Fearon was taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital for a medical evaluation.
Officials confirmed on Thursday that Fearon was a licensed day care provider who until April cared for children in her home, the New York Times reported.
"Tenisha Fearon was a registered family day care provider from 2013 to 2015 with no complaints or violations,” said Steve Flamisch, a spokesman for the State Office of Children and Family Services, to the Times . “Her registration expired on April 30, and she did not apply for renewal. Her program is closed.”
She was arraigned before Justice Kim Wilson in Bronx Criminal Court Thursday morning, where she was remanded to jail, officials said.
Bronx Assistant District Attorney Rene Aponte said during the arraignment that baby Janillah was naked and alive when she was dropped out of the window as Fearon’s three other children watched in horror.
Wilson ordered a psychological examination for Fearon, as well as medical attention and for her to be placed in protective custody in jail, which Fearon's attorney asked be provided only if necessary because he didn't want his client to be "isolated."
Fearon's case was adjourned until October 21. It does not appear that Fearon has any priors, police said.
Calls made to Fearon's attorney, who likely will not represent her following her arraignment, were not returned.

Jennifer Berry, 33, was charged with throwing her newborn baby girl out a seventh-story window in the Bronx on Monday, September 28, after the infant’s body with its umbilical cord still attached in was discovered an alleyway near the woman’s apartment.
Rashida Chowdury, 21, was charged with tossing her three-week-old baby boy out a window in Queens in August, where the child plummeted more than 40 feet, authorities said.
Both women have pleaded not guilty.
