A New Jersey man allegedly shot his mother to death in an assisted living facility Sunday before shooting and killing himself, officials said.
George Buller III, 62, was visiting his mother, 85-year-old Andree Buller, in her bedroom at the Genesis Healthcare Vorhees Center in Vorhees when he shot and killed her about 5:45 p.m., the Camden County Prosecutor’s office and Vorhees police said.
He then turned the gun on himself in what is being considered a murder-suicide, the prosecutor’s office said.

Police rushed to the scene, but both mother and son were pronounced dead at 6:08 p.m.
It was believed that Buller arrived at the facility about 4:30 p.m. and had dinner with his mother, then went to his car and took something with him back into the home before the shooting, Fox News reported.
Employees reported hearing one gunshot, and when a care provider ran into the woman’s room, she saw Buller shoot himself, Fox News wrote.
No one else was injured in the shooting, authorities said.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, officials said.
A woman who answered the phone at the Buller’s Lumberton home declined to comment Monday.
Genesis operates more than 500 centers in the country. Its Vorhees Center offers short-term and long-term care for cardiac management, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. It did not return a call for comment.
