The endorsement was supposedly going to be announced on Monday after a summit meeting between the candidate and the pastors at Trump Tower in New York City. But several church leaders said they had no intention of endorsing Trump.
The meeting was set up, they said, merely to discuss various issues with him.
The GOP front runner even posted about the meeting on Twitter on Sunday afternoon.
Will be meeting on Monday at Trump Tower with a large group of African American Pastors. Many I know-wonderful people! Not a press event.
