"Miraculously he survived!" Diva's Pit Bull Rescue wrote on Facebook, where they have been sharing Jimmy's incredible story.
The five-year-old pup was taken to BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Sandy Springs where Dr. Alan Cross discovered Jimmy had a broken back and heartworm, as well as bumps and scrapes.
The injuries left him partially paralyzed but the vet was determined to help him get back on his feet. With the help of donations, Jimmy underwent a four-hour operation to get two plates in his back.
