A man was caught on surveillance camera grabbing an elderly woman's purse while she was deep in prayer at a Florida church, according to police.

The Broward Sheriff's Office released video in an effort to identify the alleged robber. Video taken in the chapel shows the 84-year-old woman praying in church as the alleged robber sat down in the back.
The unidentified man stood up and began to pace around her chair. The suspect then walked out of the door directly behind her, walked back into the church and snatched her purse. The elderly woman saw him grab the handbag but when she followed him out of the church, he fled.
The Sheriff's office says that two days later the woman's purse was found at a nearby cemetery with her phone and house keys inside. But her money, wallet and other valuable are still missing.

Authorities say that when the suspect is identified he will face a charge of grand theft. Police are urging anyone who recognizes the man to contact the Broward Sheriff's Office, who is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the arrest.
