Christin Bjugan, manager of A to Z Pets in Portland, Oregon, said she noticed the snake was missing on Friday so she went through security footage, where she spotted the thief.
“He's lucky it wasn't feeding day," she told KPTV. "Feeding days are on Mondays. And they're very hungry.”
The type of snake, a black pastel ball python, goes for about $200. Rich Bjugan, another owner of the store, told INSIDE EDITION the snake belonged to one of the employees, who is now "a little upset."
The thief was accompanied by a female with blue hair. No arrests have been made - but the owners say they know who is responsible and where he lives.
