After assessing the scene, the brave mother pup squeezes beneath a ledge into the water. Moments later, she emerges with one of the squealing puppies in her mouth.

Seven puppies were pulled out in total but tragically, four did not make it. The surviving puppies are now in foster care.
It is not clear how they got stuck underneath the building.
