A Michigan judge denied bail to an Uber driver accused of six counts of murder.
Uber driver Jason Dalton appeared in Michigan court via a video uplink and was denied bail during his arraignment for the fatal shooting of six civilians.

Dalton, 45, who faces 16 charges including six murder charges, which can lead to life in prison, was not given an opportunity to enter a plea.
When the judge asked him if there was anything he wanted to say after the charges he faced were read, he replied: “I prefer to remain silent.”
His next court date is March 3.
Dalton was arrested early Sunday morning after he was spotted in downtown Kalamazoo. Police say he gave himself up to them without incident.

He is accused of killing random people during a five-hour shooting spree on Saturday night.
According to Reuters, Kalamazoo county’s prosecuting attorney Jeffrey Getting said: “The Kalamazoo community is reeling from these senseless acts of violence that took so many innocent lives from us.”
