Fey was a presenter at Sunday’s award show with her pal Steve Carrell, and was apparently seething at the non-stop political content.
She said: “Everyone’s telling me like what to do and it was like, people are yelling at me about rape and corporate greed, but really it’s climate change, and I was like ‘Guys, pick a lane. Hey everyone, we’re going to fix everything tonight. And also, you’re all rich. Why are you yelling at me about corporate greed? You’re all so rich.’”
She even took aim at Lady Gaga whose stirring performance brought so many people to tears
“There was a gorgeous picture online the next day of Lady Gaga in the photo booth and the quote was like: 'I just felt after my performance at the Oscars, I felt like a weight had been lifted, I felt like I could stop hiding. And I wanted to be like: 'Oh girl, have you been hiding? You've been doing a terrible job hiding.’”
