Xabi Glovsky of Claremont, California took a hand-written sign to an LA Springsteen concert asking the rock legend to sign his note for school.
A 9-year-old Bruce Springsteen fan got the thrill of his young life when the rock legend signed his tardy note after a California concert ran late on a school night.
Xabi Glovsky of Claremont was at the singer’s sold-out show in Los Angeles Tuesday night with his dad, Scott Glovsky.
While The Boss played for over three hours, Xabi held up a handmade sign that read: “Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow. Please sign my note :)”
Springsteen caught sight of the sign during his performance and, after the show, he did exactly what Xabi had hoped.

After Xabi and his dad were escorted backstage by security, Springsteen wrote the boy a note, the New York Post reports.
"Dear Ms. Jackson, Xabi has been out very late rocking & rolling," the note read. "Please excuse him if he is tardy."
Xabi's proud dad posted photos of the thrilling moment to Facebook and Twitter. Before long, the entire internet was reading Springsteen's note.
"Bruce Springsteen signed Xabi's tardy note for school tomorrow," Scott Glovsky gushed. "He is as genuine and gracious as you think he is!"

This isn't the first time a dad has proudly admitted to the world he took his kid to see Springsteen on a school night.
Last month, Patrick Pipino of Saratoga Springs made headlines when he wrote his daughters a comically honest excuse for being late the day after he took them to see Springsteen.
"In the interest of honesty, I feel it my obligation to be straight with all of you as to the reason," the note read.
"Last night Isabelle was lucky enough to see Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band in Albany, and darned if he didn’t play for three and half hours."
