A North Carolina couple was arrested after the woman’s four children tested positive for methamphetamine, officials and relatives said.
Kimberly Dawn Lowery, 29, and Nathan Todd Vallini, 27, both of Nebo, were each charged with four counts of misdemeanor contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
Police said that four children, ranging in ages 4 to 12, were living with Lowery and her boyfriend when a relative filed a complaint about possible drug use in the house.

As part of an investigation which began last month, the children were tested for the presence of methamphetamine in their systems. All four tests came back positive, cops said.
Lowery and Vallini were both scheduled to appear in court in McDowell County on April 25.
Loved ones took to social media following the pair’s arrest to express their concern for the children.

“Her family loves her and her kids... I pray for her she is looking at hard time but that will be what is best for her,” one person wrote.
Another person posted: “Somewhere down the road, Kim made a choice to dabble into something that was dangerous, and very powerful, and, sadly, very habit forming.
"She did wrong, but she still needs help with her addiction, and lots of prayer. Her kids are so sweet! … They love their Mommy unconditionally.”
