Trump was responding to North Carolina's transgender bathroom law.
Donald Trump is criticizing a controversial North Carolina law that bans transgender Americans from using bathrooms that don't match the sex on their birth certificate.

Appearing at a live town hall meeting for the Today show on Thursday, host Matt Lauer asked if Caitlyn Jenner could use any bathroom she wanted in Trump Tower.
The GOP frontrunner said: “That is correct.”
The real estate mogul also said he admires Harriet Tubman but doesn't think Andrew Jackson should be removed from the $20 bill.
"Andrew Jackson had a great history. I think it is very rough to take someone off the bill. He was a great success for this country," he said.

He was joined by wife, Melania, and four of his grown children, Donald Jr., Ivanka, Eric and Tiffany.
“The Donald” beamed as Melania said she would like for him to give up tweeting.
It was dueling town hall meetings as just blocks away, Hillary Clinton was at Good Morning America's studio.
She was shown video of Trump using his mocking epithet for her and said: “I’m not going to be responding to all the crazy stuff he says.”
The Democratic presidential hopeful was all smiles as she watched clips of six different Saturday Night Live cast members who've played her through the years. She says her favorite moment was the recent hilarious skit about her failed attempt to swipe a MetroCard to ride the New York City subway.
