She thanked the staff for their "kindness" and "support" in an email late Friday night.
Kelly Ripa will return to Live! on Tuesday, a week after her co-host, Michael Strahan, announced he will join Good Morning America in September.

Strahan made the announcement about Ripa’s return on Monday morning as he hosted the show with Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell.
The former New York Giant told viewers: “Kelly had a scheduled day off to celebrate her 20th wedding anniversary with her husband, Mark. She is going to be back tomorrow which we are all excited about.”
Late Friday night, Ripa sent an email to the show's staff informing them of her return.
In the email, obtained by the Associated Press, she wrote: “I wanted to thank you all for giving me the time to process this new information. Your kindness, support, and love has overwhelmed me. We are a family and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday morning.”
She signed it simply: “Love, Kelly.”
Tuesday’s episode will be the first time the show’s hosts have reunited since Strahan announced his departure last week.

Ripa failed to arrive to work last Wednesday, the day after Strahan made his announcement.
SNL alum Ana Gasteyer was a last-minute replacement for Ripa on Wednesday. On Thursday and Friday, Erin Andrews co-hosted with Strahan.
