Due to the singer’s age, doctors say there are major risks involved in her pregnancy.
OBGYN Dr. Shonda Corbett told INSIDE EDITION what dangers the “Got Till It’s Gone” singer may face.
"There is a risk of miscarriage in the first trimester, especially if someone is more active," Corbett said. "Given Janet Jackson's lifestyle, I would assume her doctors would have her restrained from doing so much physical activity in that first trimester -- just have her rest to be on the safe side."
Doctors say Jackson had a one percent chance of getting pregnant at her age.
Some speculate she may have used in vitro fertilization with a previously frozen egg or a donor egg.
Last month, the singer announced she was postponing her world tour to start a family.
She secretly wed her third husband, 41-year-old billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana in 2012.

“I think that if I'm really supposed to have kids, it will happen, if that's God's plan for me," she said.
The news of her pregnancy comes right after she released the new music video for the appropriately titled single, “Dammn Baby.”
