She called the encounter "so incredibly awesome."
Taking her internet stardom into hyperspace, Candace Payne is once again a "happy Chewbacca" after meeting the wookiee himself.
Thanks to her infectious laughter while trying on a Chewbacca mask for the whole world to see, the Texas mother went from a regular Star Wars fan to household name after her video went viral.
Since then, she has appeared on morning talk shows, late night TV and even got her own autograph booth at the Dallas Fan Expo this past weekend. Yet, her biggest moment came when she met actor Peter Mayhew, who starred as Chewbacca in five Star Wars films.
Mayhew invited the Payne to the Fan Expo in a letter sent to James Corden on The Late Late Show last month.
Payne and Mayhew finally had a chance to meet and discuss their Chewbacca roars in person at the event.
The 72-year-old actor posted about his encounters with Payne on Twitter.

She also met Marvel creator, Stan Lee.
Payne had no idea the video would reach the lengths it has.
