Omar Mateen's wife, Noor Zahi Salman, reportedly told investigators her husband considered attacking Disney Springs.
The wife of the suspected Orlando shooter reportedly told investigators her husband targeted a Disney theme park property in addition to the gay club where he killed 49 people.
Noor Zahi Salman, wife of alleged Pulse nightclub gunman Omar Mateen, reportedly revealed to authorities in an interview that her husband also had his sights set on an outdoor shopping complex called Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort.
The shocking revelation comes exclusively from People, who have cited a federal law enforcement source.

Unlike Disney World itself and other area attractions, Disney Springs does not have metal detectors at the entrance, People notes.
Reached for comment, a Disney Spokesperson told InsideEdition.com:
"Unfortunately we’ve all been living in a world of uncertainty, and during this time we have increased our security measures across our properties, adding such visible safeguards as magnetometers, additional canine units, and law enforcement officers on site, as well as less visible systems that employ state-of-the-art security technologies."
More than 100 people were shot at the Pulse nightclub during a three-hour ordeal that became the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

Police say suspect Omar Mateen, 29, held clubgoers hostage after first opening fire with an AR-15 assault rifle in the bar parking lot at about 2 a.m.
The FBI said Monday that Mateen showed "strong indications of radicalization" but said it appeared unlikely he was influenced by forces outside the U.S.
Nonetheless, multiple reports released in the wake of the horrific attack Sunday claimed Mateen declared his allegiance to the Islamic State in a phone call to 911 he reportedly made during the siege.
