Karate Teacher Sent Nude Photos to 11-Year-Old Student, Told Him She Wanted to Have Sex: Cops

Stephannie Figueroa, 21, sent the child approximately 15 nude photos of herself, as well as a video that showed her naked, the boy told police.

An Orlando karate teacher allegedly told an 11-year-old boy in her class that she wanted to have sex with him and sent the child nude photos before making advances on the boy while they were alone, authorities said.

The child’s mother called the cops after discovering on June 15 obscene text messages on her son’s phone that were allegedly sent by his 21-year-old karate instructor, Stephannie Figueroa, police said.

The mother told police that the messages, which were sent using the Kik social messaging app, said “Figueroa stated she could not wait for another sleep over at the karate school, so she could have sex with him in a hard way,” according to an incident report filed by the Orlando Police Department.

Figueroa told the boy on numerous occasions that she liked him and made her first advance in February 2016, officials said.

The pair was sitting alone in the front office of the karate school when Figueroa placed her hand on the boy’s knee and slid it up toward his groin, rubbing the child’s thigh until he told her to stop, cops said.

“She said she wanted to touch my d***,” the boy told police.

Figueroa went on to send the boy approximately 15 naked photos of herself as well as a video about 10 seconds long of her naked and touching herself inappropriately, the boy told police.

“I want to have sex with you,” she allegedly wrote to him on June 14, saying it was her 21st birthday and no one would be home.

“OK IDC,” the boy wrote back, using an acronym for “I don’t care.”

Each photograph or text that the boy has received from Figueroa has allegedly been deleted, the incident report said.

Figueroa, who was described on social media as a “world champion chief instructor,” taught karate at Next-Gen Xtreme Martial Arts on S. Goldenrod Rd., according to Facebook.

A woman who answered the number listed for the karate school declined to comment to InsideEdition.com, citing an attorney’s counsel.

But a man who identified himself as the owner of Next-Gen Xtreme Martial Arts told WFTV that surveillance footage at the school didn’t show anything happened between Figueroa and the child. He admitted to the TV station that there had been sleepovers at the school.

Figueroa's family also stood by her side and created a GoFundMe page, entitled "Justice for Stephannie," to assist her.

"For those of you who know Stephannie she has always been a kind hearted girl always looking to please everyone and to help whoever's in need. She is also a very hard worker and always does her best when she is working. But right now she is in danger and needs your help," the page read.

Figueroa was charged with attempted lewd or lascivious conduct, solicitation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, showing a minor obscene material and child abuse, police said.

She was released from Orange County Jail on June 18 after putting up between 10 and 20% of a $25,700 bond, as well as a piece of property, authorities told InsideEdition.com.

Investigators believe there may be other victims, police told The Orlando Sentinel. Anyone with more information about this or similar cases can call Crimeline at 1-800-423-8477.
