A Pittsburgh man was arrested early Tuesday after cops say he tried to flush a baby after a domestic dispute.
A man has been arrested in Pennsylvania after a standoff that police say started when he tried to flush a baby down the toilet.

The man allegedly attempted to flush the 6-week-old after midnight Tuesday following a domestic dispute with the child's mother during which he pulled out a gun, according to a statement from Pittsburgh Public Safety.
The woman fled with the baby and called police, who reportedly arrived to find the man holed up in the home.
Hours passed as negotiators worked to bring the standoff to a peaceful end.
By about 2:41 a.m., authorities say the suspect surrendered.

"The male initially refused to come out of the house but Police Bureau negotiators successfully convinced him to surrender," according to the statement.
Both victims were seen by paramedics at the scene and transported to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC so that the infant could be evaluated.
The suspect was transported to Allegheny County Jail with charges still pending Tuesday morning.
