The grandmother had meant to call her daughter after she slipped and fell in the bathroom.
A luxury car salesman with everyday sensibilities rushed to the aid of an injured grandmother who mistakenly called his auto dealership.
Dang Vuong, 34, the manager of a British BMW lot, was working Sunday when a hurt senior citizen dialed the wrong number and ended up talking with Vuong’s receptionist.

The woman had slipped and fallen while running a bath and had meant to phone her daughter, but instead reached Stratstone BMW in Wallsend.
The receptionist didn’t know what to do, the Newcastle Chronicle reported.
“I said, I’ll go and make sure she’s OK,” Vuong told the paper. “At first I thought she was just across the road, it turned out she was about two miles away.
“I drove over there while our receptionist kept her talking on the phone.”
He found the woman “in shock more than anything,” Vuong said. “There was blood on her face and the bath was overflowing.”
He introduced himself, picked the woman up, and carried to a sofa, where he covered her in a blanket, he said.

Vuong sat with the woman until her family arrived.
Then he went back to work.
“I would have thought anyone would have done the same, especially with her being an old lady,” he said. “I didn’t even think about doing anything else. I was raised to look up to my elders.
Sara Tweedy, the woman’s grandmother, said if Vuong hadn’t arrived, hours could have passed before the family returned home.
“We can’t thank him enough,” she said.
