A mother bear and her two cubs were spotted getting wet and wild in the waves of Lake Tahoe earlier this week.

In a video posted to YouTube by Norma Alvarez, the tiny cubs can be seen playing in the water at Pope Beach as paddle boarders floated at a safe distance and sunbathers watched from afar.

Of course, all that swimming sure builds up an appetite. After a few minutes in the water, the mother led her cubs to the sand and toward a picnic table, where she wasn't shy about searching for a treat for her babies.
While bears are rarely spotted playing near people, it appears the family may be a regular sight in the neighborhood. According to reports, three bears — a mama and her two cubs — were spotted wandering a South Lake Tahoe neighborhood earlier this summer.
