Cops say 19-year-old Niko Gallo was screaming "today I’m going to die" as he cannonballed through the window of a house in Stuart, Florida, Monday.
The terrified homeowner called 911 saying: “I'm bleeding! My son's holding him down. [He’s] violent! My son's got him in a grip on the sofa. I don't know how long he can hold him. Hurry!”
Police say the terrified woman ran "into her bedroom and grabbed her baseball bat" as the intruder "began to overpower her son."
In the 911 call, the homeowner can be heard screaming to Gallo to get off her son. The operator told her “I need you to talk to me.”
The astonished homeowner told the operator: “I just hit him with a baseball bat.”
She admitted that “I just hit him two more times, he won't leave us alone. He's just going crazy, he's attacking!”
According to police, the homeowner had to hit the guy "approximately 12 times with the baseball bat in his head."
Police say Gallo told them he took flakka, also called bath salts, known to turn users into violent zombies.
Martin County Sheriff William Snyder said at a press conference following the incident: "The victim's house is within walking distance of where the suspect was and they don't know each other. It was just another random crash into someone's house."

Synder added that Gallo will be charged with burglary and assault once he gets out of the hospital. The Martin County public defender's office said it has not been assigned the case and it wasn't immediately known if Gallo has an attorney.
The case is reminiscent of the so-called cannibal frat boy Austin Harrouff, also of Florida, who is accused of killing a couple in their garage while high on flakka, then eating the face of one victim two weeks ago.
