Kim Kardashian's Bodyguard Was Protecting Her Sisters During Terrifying Robbery

Steve Stanulis says the robbery showed an appalling lapse in security.

Kim Kardashian West's trusted bodyguard was at her side when she and Kanye West arrived in New York on Monday, but he was not with her when she was robbed at gunpoint in Paris, according to reports.

Just a week earlier, Pascal Duvier succeeded in protecting Kardashian West from potential danger, tackling a man who dove at his client as she walked through a crowd.

“My security @PascalDuvier is a G!” Kardashian West tweeted after the ordeal.

But the man-mountain and judo expert was reportedly protecting Kardashian West’s sisters Kourtney and Kendall at a nightclub when the terrifying armed robbery took place at Hotel de Pourtalès.

On Sunday he wrote on Twitter: “You don't become a bodyguard overnight. It's a job with dedication, responsibility and passion.”

Kardashian West was reportedly robbed of more than $10 million in jewelry, including her 15-carat diamond engagement ring.

“I hope this is a lesson learned. Thank God nothing happened. Thank God she’s ok,” he said.

Steve Stanulis, Kardashian West’s former body guard, said the robbery showed an appalling lapse in security.

Stanulis, who said he knows Duvier, said: “I know him very well. He’s awesome but he can’t be in two places at one time.”

She was “badly shaken but physically unharmed,” a spokeswoman for Kardashian West said.
