Brittany Carulli, 25, was offered shelter from the rain in the Gloucester County EMS ambulance, where she stole the wallet.
The girlfriend of a New Jersey man struck and killed in a car crash is accused of stealing the wallet of an EMT while she was attempting to save his life, cops said.

Jacob Dromgoole, 27, from Mantua, was getting out of his car early Sunday when he walked into oncoming traffic, and was hit by a 2011 Hyundai Sonata, a Facebook post by the Harrison Township Police Department reported. The driver of the car remained on the scene, and no charges are pending.
Dromgoole was unconscious and unresponsive by the time cops and EMTs arrived. Despite attempts to revive the man, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene, cops said.
During the incident, his girlfriend, Brittany Carulli, 25, was offered shelter from the rain inside the Gloucester County EMS ambulance as she grieved the loss of her boyfriend.
An EMT who had been working on Dromgoole later reported her wallet had gone missing.
According to police, the wallet was kept in the ambulance's center console, and contained her credit and debit cards, her driver's license, and $120 cash.
No one had access to the ambulance before or after the wallet went missing, according to a police statement.

Cops said when they later interviewed Carulli, she admitted to taking the wallet.
The wallet was later turned in with all its contents, except the cash.
Carulli has been charged with theft and has been released on a summons pending a court date.
