A night of frightening fun turned truly scary in Texas this weekend when a man dressed as Freddy Krueger opened fire on a Halloween house party.
San Antonio police said the man was one of several who showed up outside a party at about 5 a.m., where they began to cause trouble.
At some point, guests were asked to leave and an altercation among the guests occurred, police said in a statement obtained by InsideEdition.com.
That's when authorities say the man dressed as the famously scarred Nightmare on Elm Street character pulled out a gun and opened fire.
Five people were struck by bullets.

Noting that the investigation is still ongoing, the SAPD declined to share any additional details and no arrests have been made as of midday Monday.
