A Florida man in police custody for an alleged domestic dispute was hit with further charges after he removed his glass eye and threw it at a doctor and nurse, authorities said.
Edward Dorsey, 54, was arrested after he allegedly hit his wife during an apparent drug- and alcohol-fueled argument at their Largo home when he was taken to a nearby medical facility to be treated Sunday, police said in an arrest affidavit.
As he was being medically cleared to be transported to the Pinellas County Jail, Dorsey allegedly removed his glass eye, the police report said.

Though no injuries were reported as a result, it was not immediately clear if the eye hit its intended targets.

Dorsey — who police reported has a tattoo on his forearm that reads, “Dorsey touch” — was charged with battery on an emergency medical care provider, a felony, online records show.
He remained jailed awaiting trial Wednesday on $30,000 bail, of which $25,000 was for domestic battery and $5,000 was for throwing the eye, authorities said.
