Woman Found 'Chained Like a Dog' Told Police She Saw Captor Shoot Her Boyfriend: Reports

Police uncovered an unidentified body on the property.

A South Carolina woman who was found “chained like a dog” in a metal storage container on Thursday, after being missing for two months, told police she saw her captor shoot her boyfriend, according to reports.

Kala Brown, 30, who’d been missing along with her 32-year-old boyfriend, Charlie Carver, since the end of August, made the statement after police announced an unidentified body had been found on the same 100-acre property where Brown was imprisoned.

Registered sex offender Todd Kohlhepp, the owner of the property, was arrested on Thursday morning and charged with kidnapping.

At a bond hearing for Kohlhepp on Friday afternoon, 7th Circuit Solicitor Barry Barnette said Brown told authorities that on August 31st, she and her boyfriend, David "Charlie" Carver, went to Kohlhepp's property where she witnessed Kohlhepp shoot Carver, according to NBCNews.

Barnette also said he is confident there will be a murder warrant in connection with the case.

Authorities discovered multiple guns and ammo on the property as well, according to reports.

Kohlhepp, who was convicted of raping a 14-year-old at gun point when he was 15, allegedly chained Brown by the neck and ankle in the container and fed her regularly.

Police found Brown after acting on a tip they received, according to reports. When they arrived to the property, they heard banging and then discovered Brown trapped inside a container.

Brown reportedly told officials that there may be four bodies on the property.

On Friday Brown’s family released a statement on her behalf:

“While Kala is doing well physically, emotionally she's having good moments and bad moments,” the family said. “She's requesting privacy at this time and will make an official statement as soon as the authorities give her permission to do so. Right now Kala needs time to process and begin to cope with the events that have occurred. She thanks everyone for their love and support.”
