"Help us locate Markeith Loyd," the Orlando Police Department tweeted, announcing the Crimeline reward's increase from $60,000 to $100,000.
Authorities have nearly doubled the reward for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted for the murders of his pregnant ex-girlfriend and a Florida police officer in an appeal to the public to help track down the suspect they say is armed and extremely dangerous.
“Help us locate Markeith Loyd,” the Orlando Police Department tweeted, announcing the Crimeline reward’s increase from $60,000 to $100,000.
Loyd was still on the run one day after allegedly shooting 17-year veteran OPD Master Sgt. Debra Clayton, 42, multiple times when she approached him in a Walmart parking lot Monday.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation also appealed to the public in the search for Loyd, tweeting out his photo and details of Clayton’s murder Tuesday.

Many saw the development as a dose of dramatic irony, as Loyd had written on Facebook less than a month before the alleged rampage that landed him there: “Goals!!!! To be on Americas most wanted … mf’s play with it …”
At the time of Clayton’s murder, Loyd was already wanted for the shooting death of his ex-girlfriend, Sade Dixon.
She was three months pregnant with his child when Loyd allegedly gunned her down outside her family’s home on December 13.
The mother of two had gone outside only minutes earlier to speak with the man her family said she broke up with two days prior when shots rang out.
After allegedly shooting Clayton, Loyd was spotted fleeing the scene and fired at a deputy with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, striking the deputy's SUV twice — but missing the officer — before carjacking a vehicle and fleeing again, the OCSO said.
That vehicle was found abandoned nearby, authorities said.
It was also during the hunt for Loyd that OSCO Deputy First Class Norman Lewis was fatally struck by a motorist as he traveled on his motorcycle, police said.
