A Louisiana man thought he was setting up a drug sale, but he was really turning himself in, authorities said.
Dwayne Paul Hebert, 39, accidentally texted the details of a meth deal to a patrol officer with Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office, according to statement from the department.

The “misdirected” message gave the address of the meet in Pierre Part, about 90 miles from New Orleans, authorities said.
The deputy, who was only too happy to appear at the rendezvous, alerted the narcotics squad, according to Sheriff Leland Falcon.
When Hebert arrived, he was arrested. Officers confiscated several bags of crystal meth and two guns, Falcon said.

He had been free on $90,000 bail for a November arrest in which he was charged with running a meth lab on a boat.
Hebert now faces additional counts of drug possession with intention to distribute, possessing a firearm in the presence of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
It was unclear whether he has entered pleas on the new charges.
