A man was stabbed over the weekend during a party at the Massachusetts home of a university chancellor, according to police.
University of Massachusetts-Boston Chancellor J. Keith Motley was traveling at the time of the stabbing, which Stoughton cops say occurred in the early morning hours on Sunday.

The 20-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times. He was taken to a hospital in serious condition, but is expected to survive.
Family members identified the victim as Fabrice Emile, WCVB reports.
Motley said in a statement Sunday that he'd return home as quickly as possible to "fully understand what happened."
“I have learned about an incident that occurred at my residence last night and am very concerned about it, as well as the health of the young man who was injured.

"I was travelling and not home at the time, but I am returning as quickly as possible so that I can fully understand what happened and respond accordingly. I will have more to say at that time," the statement said.
Motley was appointed in July 2007, according to the college website, and oversees a research university with 11 colleges and graduate schools and 17,000 students.
