The boy was one of six people rescued Friday.
On Friday morning, rescuers in the Abruzzo section of Italy rescued a young boy and other survivors, two days after an avalanche plowed through the town.

The disaster dumped 16-and-a-half feet of snow in the town of Farindola, where the Hotel Rigopiano, a luxury facility in the area, once sat. Four people have been found dead since the avalanche hit.
Sadness from the area quickly turned to joy as firefighters were filmed extracting a child and a woman from the snow.
A member of the Vigili del Fuoco (firefighters association) was recorded saying, “He’s alive! He’s alive!” as a young boy was pulled from the rubble. The firefighters applauded and smiled as the boy was brought to safety.
Moments later, a woman was pulled from remains of the hotel and greeted with the same welcome.
One of the firefighters was then recorded saying: “Now the helicopter has arrived, to take them away, because they are not in perfect [physical] conditions."
During Friday’s search, the rescue crews saved six other people.
The country's Civil Protection Agency said Friday that efforts were continuing to remove remaining survivors.

More than 30 people were enjoying vacation at the mountainous lodge when the avalanche hit the building. A man able to escape early on was able to reunite with his wife and son.
Walls and parts of the buildings structure were knocked down from the heavy snow.
In addition to the avalanche, at least three feet of snow has fallen on the area since, hampering search and rescue efforts.
